May 6, 2014 Board Meeting Agenda Item #31 Title APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #14-0049 FOR SCHOOL UNIFORM SHIRTS AND JACKETS Description Bids to provide 'School Uniform Shirts and Jackets' were received from ten vendors on April 9, 2014.  The bids of American Apparel Design and Logo HQ Promotional Products were the best low bids meeting the advertised specifications.  Reasons for not selecting the apparent low bid are included with the bid tabulation.  This bid is for a period of one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods.  Funds for these purchases are contained in the internal account budgets of the schools.    Recommendation That the bids of American Apparel Design and Logo HQ Promotional Products, to provide 'School Uniform Shirts and Jackets' in an amount not to exceed $60,000.00, be approved as presented.
